Preston Hill Quarry Development Update

Information taken from Councillor David Barratts FB page - DEADLINE TO OBJECT HAS PASSED

"The deadline to make comments on the re-submitted plans for Preston Hill Quarry was the 12th of January. Due to the impact of the Christmas break and of postal strikes delaying the delivery of neighbour notifications, I asked if it was possible to have this deadline extended. I have been told this afternoon that that deadline is now the 23rd. If you have comments you would like to make, please do so before the 23rd.
I have also been asked by various groups and individuals why the bat survey report and economic impact assessment have not been uploaded to the public portal.
Having asked, I have been told the "updated ecological assessment and a bat activity report formed part of the application submission. These documents contain sensitive information about protected species and are therefore not published online." They have been provided for Nature Scotland and they will have the opportunity to review and comment as they see fit.
As for the economic impact assessment, I have been advised that "the nature of the information provided is commercially sensitive and is therefore not published online."
