FRIARY PLAY PARK

Design Feedback
Fife Council and Inverkeithing Trust are working together to raise funds for a brand new playpark in The Friary Garden (yay!) and we are now proud to present 2 possible design possibilities for your feedback.

Both designs focus on creating a safe, restful and fun outdoor space for younger children in Inverkeithing while complimenting the stunning views over the Forth and The Friary Gardens.

They include 'zoned' areas - for babies & toddlers and children over 4 - plus a variety of high quality equipment to encourage play and FUN!

Many of the features in the designs are shared in both options (both will have swings!) but they are themed differently - both with Inverkeithing in mind.

We'd like to know what you think about the design options displayed below so we can make it happen! Please comment so we know what you think!

    DESIGN OPTION 1
    NATURE THEME
Inspired by nature and the stunning views of the Forth from the Friary Gardens Option 1 features a toddler boat in a blue zoned area (representing the harbour & there is also a boat in the Towns Crest) a baby swing seat, tunnel, swans to ride on (we know Inverkeithing loves a swan!) and a forest bug see-saw, and for the older children there is a fun and colourful tree (inspired by the orchards that used to be tended by the monks) to climb with slide and swings.

    DESIGN OPTION 2
    HISTORY THEME

Inspired by the rich history of Inverkeithing Option 2 features natural wooden walkways for toddlers that compliment the shape of the 14thc Friary Buildings and a 'Bewitched' tower zone for older children with slide and swings and a spinner bowl.
